We're hiring a Technical Recruitment Consultant to join the Rubicon team, supporting our Technical division with white collar positions.

This is a step-up role for someone who already knows how to recruit and is ready to start leading, playing a pivotal part in growing an exclusive client desk while developing a team of consultants around them.

Why this Technical Recruitment Consultant role exists: our Technical division has exclusive client relationships and growing demand for skilled candidates, and we need someone who can combine strong personal billing with the ability to coach, guide and get the best out of others.

It's the natural next step for a consultant who's proven themselves and wants more responsibility, without losing the parts of recruitment they're good at.

Rubicon is 100% employee-owned (think John Lewis & Waitrose, but smaller and more personal).

That means the effort you and your team put in doesn't just hit a target, it contributes to shared success and long-term financial wellbeing for the people doing the work.

  • What's in it for you
  • An established induction, technical training and a tailored personal development plan
  • A clear progression path towards team leader, manager and beyond, every one of ours started on the desk
  • An established, exclusive client base to build on and grow from day one

  • Commission schemes
  • Holiday sell-back scheme
  • Training and external qualifications with the REC
  • Quarterly performance-related bonuses
  • Regular awards and prizes, including 'Employee of the Month'
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) plus 1 extra day for your birthday

  • Running your own 360 desk while sourcing candidates through job boards, sourcing tools and proactive networking
  • Visiting prospective and existing clients, often taking the lead on the more complex or higher-value conversations
  • Coaching and supporting consultants day-to-day, from call quality to deal strategy
  • Reviewing team pipeline and performance, spotting where support is needed early
  • Creating opportunities through speculative approaches and market mapping across the Technical sector
  • Maximising opportunities within the client base with consultative recruitment solutions
