Responsibilities
- Producing CNC programmes, set‑up sheets and tooling documentation from planned processes
- Developing efficient, high‑quality machining methods for new and existing products
- Owning production routings, tooling, gauges, test equipment, fixtures and programme configuration
- Collaborating with QA to ensure inspection requirements are captured and controlled
- Supporting cost‑reduction opportunities and process optimisation initiatives
- Using data‑driven analysis to improve product yield, cost performance and delivery outcomes
Experience and Qualifications
- Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications with accuracy
- Strong knowledge of general machining including milling and turning
- Proficient use of CAD/CAM systems, ideally Fusion 360 or similar
- Experience within Aerospace, Defence, or other precision engineering environments
- Understanding of AS9100 standards and Lean improvement methodologies
- Engineering qualifications such as HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering
