Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC gear cutting machinery to produce components to drawing specification
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances accurately
  • Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection to ensure quality standards are met
  • Selecting appropriate tooling and making adjustments to maintain accuracy
  • Completing relevant documentation and quality records
  • Working to production schedules and flagging any issues to the supervisor

Experience

  • Proven experience as a CNC Gear Cutter, CNC Setter/Operator, or similar precision machining role
  • Ability to set and operate CNC machinery with confidence and minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining tolerances
  • Experience working in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • A methodical approach and a high standard of workmanship
