Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC gear cutting machinery to produce components to drawing specification
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances accurately
- Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection to ensure quality standards are met
- Selecting appropriate tooling and making adjustments to maintain accuracy
- Completing relevant documentation and quality records
- Working to production schedules and flagging any issues to the supervisor
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Gear Cutter, CNC Setter/Operator, or similar precision machining role
- Ability to set and operate CNC machinery with confidence and minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining tolerances
- Experience working in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- A methodical approach and a high standard of workmanship
