As a Press Brake Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating CNC‑controlled hydraulic press brakes for routine production work
- Selecting, loading and setting tooling using setup documents and supervisor guidance
- Producing components to agreed quality and time standards
- Accurately recording time and completed work using an online production system
- Handling materials and finished components using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Supporting basic fault‑finding, quality reporting and operator‑level preventative maintenance
As a Press Brake Operator, your experience will include:
- Previous experience in Press Brake Operation or metal press forming
- Background within a Manufacturing or Fabrication environment
- Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings and shop documentation
- Competence in basic dimensional measuring and shop maths
- Forklift operation experience, with overhead crane use advantageous
This Press Brake Operator role is based in Basingstoke and operates on a night shift with the following hours:
- 16:00 shift start
- 18:15 to 18:30 first tea break
- 21:30 to 22:00 unpaid lunch break
- 00:00 to 00:15 second tea break
- 02:00 shift finish
The role is carried out in a fast‑paced industrial environment requiring full PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection and steel‑toed footwear.
