Few industries demand more of their supply chains than aerospace. Components are complex, tolerances are tight, and when a production cell stalls, the ripple effect is felt all the way to programme delivery. This is a business that understands that better than most. Operating across OEM and Aftermarket demands in a genuinely thriving NPI environment, they've built a procurement function where specialists are trusted, empowered, and given real ownership of their supply base.

As a Procurement Project Specialist, you won't be sitting behind a screen chasing numbers in isolation. You'll be at the heart of the operation, attending daily stand-ups, driving supplier performance, and working cross-functionally to keep programmes on track. It's a role for someone who wants to make a tangible difference in a technically challenging environment where your expertise will be visible and valued.

As a Procurement Project Specialist, you will benefit from:

  • A technically rich environment spanning OEM, Aftermarket, and NPI programmes
  • Cross-functional exposure across Operations, Programmes, Design, Engineering, and Quality
  • Genuine autonomy to own your supplier portfolio and drive performance
  • Career development supported by an established, structured procurement function

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the procurement focal for all delivery and quality activity across a defined group of suppliers, production cells, and customer programmes
  • Attending production cell daily stand-ups and programme reviews to support operational flow
  • Identifying, mitigating, and resolving supply chain delivery risks across OEM and Spares demands
  • Managing order books, supplier due dates, and MRP accuracy to maintain clear supply visibility
  • Building and managing supplier relationships, driving performance on delivery and quality
  • Supporting supplier evaluations, audits, and change request progression in collaboration with Commodity Buyers

Your experience will include:

  • Demonstrated procurement experience of 3 or more years, ideally within aerospace or a highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Global Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and supply risk management
  • Sound understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning and MRP or ERP systems
  • Strong working knowledge of procurement principles and NPI or fast-paced production environments
  • CIPS qualification or Advanced Practitioner status is encouraged, though equivalent experience is also valued
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Project
