About this role
As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Rubicon Water’s products at customer sites across New Zealand. You will play a crucial part in ensuring high-quality service and a timely resolution of technical issues. This role requires flexibility; occasional opportunities may arise for international travel. Suits someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, learning new skills, and working outdoors.
Location: Ashburton, Canterbury – other Canterbury locations may be considered.
Responsbilities
- Carry out field installation, repair and maintenance of various Rubicon products.
- Undertake fault diagnosis, testing, maintenance and modification as required to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Follow instructions from designated Project Managers.
- Liaise with customers to discuss incident concerns or complaints, instigating corrective actions where required.
- Occasionally required to provide after-hours support, with overtime paid where applicable.
Description
Qualifications & Experience
- Electrical experience is an advantage;
- Hold a current and valid NZ driver’s license;
- Experience with any SCADA, PLC systems, Radio and Telemetry systems is beneficial;
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software.
- Demonstrate exceptional time management, organisational and relationship building skills;
- Willingness to learn and develop and build technical capability;
- Possess a strong work ethic and a positive, practical approach.
