Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Site Manager on a 6-12 month contract based in the Midlands.
Role Summary
- Act as Site Manager on NGED projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery of works.
- Serve as the OPS 2 responsible person for site activities, managing safety documents and ensuring strict adherence to NGED protocols.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, engineers, and field operatives on site.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and ensure RAMS are in place and followed.
- Liaise directly with NGED representatives, project teams, and third parties.
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety standards across all site operations.
- Maintain and manage site records, permits, and safety documentation in line with NGED requirements.
- Assist with planning outages, switch schedules, and maintaining operational safety boundaries.
Requirements
- Valid OPS 2 Document Holder ticket (NGED) – Mandatory
- Proven experience managing HV/LV works on the NGED or other DNO networks
- Solid understanding of electrical distribution systems and associated safety procedures
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
- First Aid and NRSWA (advantageous)
- Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel to various sites across the Midlands.
