Rubicon Consulting is recruiting for an Electrical Site Supervisor with NG CP on a 6-month rolling contract based in Norfolk.
Responsibilities
- Assist the site manager and supervise the electrical works on site, including interfacing with and sensibly monitoring subcontractors while feeding back the necessary information to the site manager.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, set to work procedures, and that works are delivered to a programme while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
- Produce timely reports and provide information in a timely manner.
- Provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub‑contractors are performing to agreed production levels.
- Maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively.
- Perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team.
- Comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions.
- Support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed‑back into the business.
- Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management.
- Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as-built drawings.
- Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work, including issuing Permits to Dig, setting others to work and monitoring throughout the task / project.
Requirements
Essential
- Full UK driving licence.
- National Grid Competent Person.
- NSI 6 & 8.
- IOSHH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the T&D industry, preferably on National Grid sites.
- Relevant previous experience at a supervisory level.
Desirable
- HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering.
- Formal Electrical training.
- Impressed Voltage training IOSH environmental or equivalent HSG47 First Aid.
