Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Wireman on a 3 month contract based in Scotland. Role Summary * This supporting role is to assist our client’s work within a site team on electrical installation activities. * Reports to Site Supervisor, or chargehand as required by deployment. * Duty of care for themselves and all individuals on site to ensure that they work safely at all times. Responsibilities Key Tasks: 1. Works to all applicable Client’s QEHS procedures as briefed in the site induction. 2. Carries out any other duties within their competence to the relevant quality / industry standards as directed by the Site Supervisor. 3. Operate within timescales set out by their Work Party Leader and highlight potential deviations in advance Key results/ Objectives: 1. Adhere to the site rules as briefed to them by the Chargehand, Site Supervisor / Site Manager. 2. Comply with the Health and Safety, Environmental & Quality Plans and know their duties to be discharged in each case. Carryings out wiring tasks as per our Client and Client specifications. 3. Proactively participate in the completion of all task cards allocated to their team to the required timescale and comply with timesheet and expenses submission timescales. Requirements Electrically qualified induvial with minimum 1 years experience working on Substation Panels. Or 2 years experience on similar equipment in the Power Generation, Oil & Gas or General Construction Sites. Can read drawings in order to carry out their work and mark up where required. Comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation / practice within a substation environment, for example, National Grid, SSE, SPEN etc. Requires the presence and personal qualities necessary to effectively work within a team or individually as required. Qualifications: For All Construction Projects Substation experience ECS or Gold card MEWP / IPAF Personal Attributes: Good interpersonal skills. Proactive attitude to support site initiatives and in communication with site management and fellow team members. Proactive attitude to problem solving. Good at creating and retaining relationships within a team. Positive attitude to conflict resolution.
