Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Engineer on a 6 month contract based in Warwickshire.
Role Summary
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for examining materials, parts, and finished products to ensure they meet company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role involves performing inspections, documenting results, identifying defects, and working with production or engineering teams to address quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products for quality and compliance.
- Measure dimensions, examine functionality, and verify specifications using inspection tools and equipment.
- Record inspection and test results accurately in reports, logs, or quality systems.
- Identify non-conforming materials or products and report issues to supervisors or quality engineers.
- Ensure products meet customer requirements, engineering drawings, and company quality standards.
- Perform visual inspections and functional testing as required.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Support investigations into quality issues and assist with root cause analysis.
- Maintain inspection records and documentation for traceability.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies during inspection activities.
- Assist with audits and compliance checks when needed.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve product quality.

- 1st principle measurement experience able to read engineering drawings.
- Faro laser experience.
