Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Fitter on a 5 month contract based in Scotland.
Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced High Voltage (HV) Fitter who also holds a valid CPCS Slinger/Signaller ticket and CSCS card. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting HV installation, maintenance, and commissioning works while safely coordinating lifting operations on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- HV Fitting Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair high voltage electrical equipment and systems
- Assist with HV cable laying, jointing preparation, and terminations
- Support commissioning and testing of HV systems
- Work alongside engineers and supervisors to deliver project requirements
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and site procedures
- Safely attach and guide loads for crane operations
- Communicate clearly with crane operators using standard signals
- Ensure lifting plans are followed at all times
- Carry out pre-lift checks and ensure lifting equipment is fit for use
- Maintain exclusion zones and site safety during lifting operations
Requirements:
- Essential:
- Proven experience as an HV Fitter (utilities, substations, or similar)
- Valid CPCS Slinger/Signaller (A40 or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS Card
- Good understanding of site health
