Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Multiple Wireman/Electrician on a 4 Month Contract, based in Kingussie.
Role Summary
The successful candidates will carry out first and second fix electrical installation works, with a focus on substation and cable installation activities. Wiremen will work as part of a wider site electrical team, delivering work safely, to programme, and to a high standard of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, gland and terminate SWA (steel wire armoured) cables to a high standard
- Carry out cable pulling operations, including containment and routing
- Work within and support substation installation activities
- Read and work from electrical drawings and schematics
- Carry out testing and inspection activities where qualified (CAT 1-3)
- Complete work in line with site health & safety procedures and RAMS
- Liaise with the site electrical supervisor/foreman on daily work allocation and progress
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including as-built information where required
Requirements
Essential Requirements
- ECS Gold Card – Level 3 Electrical Installation (preferred)
- Substation experience
- Glanding and terminating SWA cables
- Cable pulling experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Own hand tools
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- CAT 1-3 testing experience/qualification advantageous
- Previous experience on similar industrial/utility-scale projects
Health & Safety
- Valid CSCS or equivalent site safety card
- Full PPE required (provided items to be confirmed on site induction)
- Compliance with all site-specific health & safety inductions and RAMS is mandatory
