Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for M&E Manager on a 6 month Contract, based in Luton.
Role Summary
To oversee the M&E works and support the site manager in the day to day running of the project eventually taking over as SR163 site manager for the project when the project needs dictate. Act as cover on site when the site manager is not on site and to supervise the works on site including interfacing with and sensibly monitoring any subcontractors whilst feeding back the necessary information whilst ensuring the project runs efficiently, on time, on budget and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Job Duties
- Take responsibility for the M&E works on the project, eventually stepping up to site manager for the whole project.
- Ensure compliance to CDM regulations on site.
- Ensure all setting to work procedures are followed.
- Ensure works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
- Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner.
- To provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels.
- To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively.
- To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team.
- To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions.
- To support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business.
- Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management.
- Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as built drawings.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- National Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8.
- IOSHH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the T&D industry, preferably on National Grid sites.
- HSG47.
- CITB TWS or TWC.
- First Aid.
- Impressed Voltage awareness.
- Previous TP137 or SR163 experience and appointment.
Desirable
- HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering.
- Formal Electrical training.
- Impressed Voltage training.
- IOSH environmental or equivalent.
