Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for an Inventory Planner on a 3 month contract based in Lincoln.
Role Summary
- Responsible inventory management for Service business with the objective to minimise inventory cost whilst providing measurable material availability.
- Collaborative/Proactive management of Slow moving parts with other departments.
- Regular collaboration with other business areas including Purchasing / Logistics & B.A.
- Generate top level inventory reports for the senior management to promote inventory efficiency.
- Management of new inventory requirements & process improvements across all overhaul areas.
Requirements
- Degree level education & engineering technical knowledge equivalent to 5 years.
- A minimum of 5 years man management experience & cross departmental relationship capability is essential.
- Degree qualified in relevant subject, or membership of appropriate institution, i.e. CIPS, Institute of Logistics, Institute of Operations Management together with professional qualifications.
- Commercial acumen, Analytical and Computer skills, Resolute & determined self-starter.
- A thorough knowledge of SAP processes, including Materials Management and Sales & Marketing.
- A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Forecast tools.
- A good understanding of all live Bill of Materials pertaining to all 3 service areas.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant logistic/supply chain management experience.
- Ability to challenge & evolve solutions for inventory process issues & lead their adoption into the business.
- Communication and Change management skills across all main departments within Service business.
