We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to provide dedicated support to the EA1 Offshore Service Team during a temporary contract period from 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements, and supporting the safe execution of offshore service operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day EHS support to the EA1 Offshore Service Team.
  • Ensure compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify hazards and promote continual improvement.
  • Support risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and permit-to-work processes.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Deliver EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings as required.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities and drills.
  • Liaise with offshore personnel, contractors, and management to ensure effective communication of EHS requirements.
  • Promote environmental awareness and ensure environmental controls are implemented and maintained.
  • Assist with compliance documentation, record keeping, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide practical EHS guidance to operational teams to support safe and efficient service delivery.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent recognised health and safety qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience in an EHS role within offshore wind, energy, marine, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Offshore Wind Industry experience.
  • GWO Basic Safety Training (BST).
  • Offshore medical certification and survival training (desirable).
  • Internal or Lead Auditor qualification.
