Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator on a 6 Month Contract, based in Staffordshire.

Role Summary

The Logistics Co-ordinator is responsible for managing the efficient and compliant movement of goods into and out of the UK, with a primary focus on exports to Europe. This role supports road freight shipments, express courier movements, customer returns, and import clearance activity, while ensuring full compliance with customs procedures, Incoterms 2020, and relevant regulatory requirements. The role also plays an important part in driving process discipline, supporting operational continuity, and providing guidance across import/export activities. The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of international logistics and customs compliance, together with the ability to lead and support others within the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Export Operations
    • Coordinate the export of goods from the UK to Europe, primarily via road freight.
    • Arrange shipment of low-volume, low-weight goods using DHL Express and other courier services as required.
    • Ensure all export documentation is accurate, complete, and issued in a timely manner.
    • Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution.
    • Monitor shipments through to delivery and resolve any issues or delays proactively.
  • Returns Management
    • Manage customer returns efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations.
