Role Summary

The Package Repair Coordinator is primarily responsible for delivering end-to-end overhaul of package equipment within our supply network, with a focus toward larger capital equipment. Once delivered, the overhauled equipment is available for scheduled maintenance requirements. Secondary functions include the delivery of ad-hoc customer owned property overhauls and providing breakdown support to the service business (where relevant package items are impacted). The role utilises existing repair processes with the external supply chain but also focuses on developing new opportunities to increase the consumption of overhauled parts.

The candidate must be a dynamic individual with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally with various departments as per the role requirements detailed below.

Requirements

  • A solid grounding in engineering is highly desirable.
  • Integrate with Aftermarket Planning, Engineering & Finance teams.
  • Determine suitable vendors for overhaul to ensure the most successful and economical solution - integrate with Site returns, Warehousing, Spares Engineering and Fault Report Teams.
  • Engage and negotiate with the vendor network, issue tender requirements and negotiate to determine best cost solution.
  • Manage the overhaul with the vendors - keep track with the vendor with appropriate touchpoints as per the individual contract requirements.
  • Capital equipment key touch points: Review of the initial inspection report, with the supplier and Service Engineer (as required).
  • Review revised supplier quotes based on the above findings.
  • Search for cost out where possible, negotiate on price.
  • Free issue sub-assemblies etc.
  • Attend witness tests where appropriate (travel may be required) and review final documentation with the supplier before dispatch.
