Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installation and maintenance works within substation environments. This is a 6-month contract position engaged through a Limited Company (Ltd). The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising on-site electrical activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, to specification, and in compliance with relevant regulations and authorisation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities on substation projects
- Read, interpret and mark up engineering drawings using reds and greens notation to record as-built conditions and site modifications
- Complete and maintain Inspection and Completion Records (ICRs) accurately throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with SSE authorisation documentation and safe systems of work
- Conduct and record toolbox talks, inductions and briefings for site personnel
- Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives and other trades to coordinate site activities
- Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements at all times
- Identify and escalate any technical or safety issues promptly
