Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a CMM Operator on a 6 month rolling contract based in East Anglia.

Role Summary

The CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator is responsible for loading and running CMM programs to ensure the accurate measurement and inspection of components. This role requires a keen attention to detail and methodical, proactive approach.

  • Loading of components onto CMM’s and operating CMM programs to established procedures.
  • Operate CMM equipment to perform measurements on various components.
  • Troubleshoot and report any issues related to CMM operations.
  • Review data to ensure results are complete, to be passed onto CMM Engineers for review.
  • The visual and manual inspection of components for potential damage.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality assurance teams to improve measurement processes.
  • Knowledge of safe working environment and implementation of current H&S legislation into working practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ideally experience operating CMM equipment and familiarity with measurement techniques, however not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office and IT competence is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a commitment to quality.
