Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Civil Structural CAD Technicians on a 6 month contract length, based in Stafford. Role Summary Working within the civil and structural design team, you will be responsible for producing accurate CAD drawings, models, and design documentation to support ongoing infrastructure and engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CAD professionals to contribute to key design deliverables within a fast-paced project environment. * Produce and update 2D/3D CAD drawings and models for substation layouts, cabling routes, and structural/civil elements. * Interpret engineering designs, technical data, and specifications into precise CAD outputs. * Ensure all drawings comply with National Grid standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes of practice. Requirements * Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar). * Experience working on National Grid or power/utility projects (desirable). * Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with standards. * Understanding of electrical/civil/structural drawings for power transmission and distribution.
