Cabling Engineer

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Cabling Engineer, based UK wide. Role Summary Reporting to the Head of Fibre Manager, the cabling engineer will be responsible for installing and maintaining high-quality cabling systems for various clients, under the supervision of the Cable Team Leader / Field Supervisor / Fibre Manager. You will follow the instructions provided by the clients and HGC standards and ensure that the cabling projects are completed on time, within budget, and with customer satisfaction • Perform rod and rope testing to ensure proper installation and functionality of cabling systems • Install cabling and sub duct systems according to project specifications and industry standards • Install internal and external cable systems for various types of properties, such as commercial or residential • Recover and dispose of unused or damaged cable materials in a safe and environmentally friendly manner • Produce and document “As builds” and test results in hard or soft copy formats • Report daily project progress, issues, and outcomes to relevant project stakeholders, such as Project Manager, Coordinator, or Field Supervisor • Label equipment, cable, or cable core according to customer requirements and best practices • Respond to emergency call outs as part of the ERS (emergency call out response) rota • Follow work pack instructions accurately and effectively • Produce redline mark ups as required to indicate changes or corrections in cabling systems • Submit A55 forms to record completed cabling works • Maintain high standards of personal workmanship and quality control Requirements * Proven experience of Cable Installation on multiple networks * Valid UK Driving License * NRSWA Unit 2 * Towing License Our Company Rubicon Consulting is a Talent management consultancy which helps you to optimise business performance and competitive advantage by choosing the right people first time
