Rubicon Bridge is transforming compliance for regulated brands. Compliance isn't a checklist anymore; it's a constant decision-making burden across fragmented, ambiguous markets. We're building the infrastructure that embeds regulated decision-making directly into workflows, making outcomes consistent, explainable, and defensible at scale.

As a Principal Engineer, AI & Architecture, you'll design and build the cloud-native backbone behind this mission from rapid prototypes to production systems using AWS, Terraform, and serverless architectures.

What You'll Do

  • Build scalable AWS/serverless systems that power governed, deterministic regulatory decisions
  • Codify infrastructure into reusable Terraform modules
  • Build and ship prototypes with real data and integrations
  • Improve resilience, observability, and engineering velocity
  • Help make compliance right by design, not a late-stage review step

What You Bring

  • Strong AWS + Terraform expertise
  • Deep experience with serverless + event-driven design
  • API-first architecture and integration skills
  • CI/CD, IAM, and cloud security fundamentals
  • A builder mindset – fast, pragmatic, low ego

Why Join Us

You'll help shape the foundational infrastructure an entire industry will rely on, moving regulated brands from manual interpretation to deterministic, scalable, workflow-embedded compliance. If you're motivated by high ownership, real impact, and building systems that change how regulated work gets done, we'd love to talk.

How to prepare for a job interview at Rubicon Bridge

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Rubicon Bridge uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
