Rubicon Bridge is a dynamic regulatory consultancy specialising in global compliance services. We partner with brands across the food, food supplement, pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetic, and general product sectors to help them navigate complex regulatory landscapes and bring compliant products to market.

This position is part of Rubicon's regulatory team, reporting to the Senior Regulatory Manager. You will support and advise brands and retailers on food regulatory matters, delivering accurate guidance for product development, launches, and international commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct product compliance assessments, including formulation reviews, pack copy checks, and artwork evaluations.
  • Provide commercially practical, risk‐based regulatory guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Monitor and research regulatory changes and emerging industry trends that may affect clients or the business.
  • Advise clients on legislation, guidance, and best practice.
  • Deliver risk‐based recommendations for complaints, enforcement issues, or regulatory challenges.
  • Liaise with government authorities and industry organisations.
  • Deliver internal regulatory and technical training sessions.
  • Develop strong working relationships with client contacts, communicating regulatory matters with clarity.
  • Participate in client meetings to provide expert regulatory advice and contribute to business development.
  • Create technical and regulatory content for marketing, training, and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Present regulatory expertise both internally and externally.
  • Expand technical expertise across specialist food categories and international markets.
  • Translate regulations using various language tools.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Degree in food law, food science, nutrition, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a regulatory role within the food industry or a related environment.
  • Familiarity with the UK & EU Food Information to Consumers (FIC) Regulation, Nutrition and Health Claims Regulation (NHCR), and country‐of‐origin labelling rules.
  • Awareness of the Novel Foods framework (GB and EU) and its application to product development and ingredient assessment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (essential).
  • Fluency in one or more EU or Nordic languages (desirable).
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and organise workload effectively.
  • Proven experience making sound, risk‐based regulatory decisions.
  • Confidence interpreting and applying regulatory requirements to product information and communicating outcomes clearly to clients.
  • Strong food regulatory knowledge, including a good understanding of general EU and national level legislation.
  • Experience applying legislation, customer standards, and codes of practice to product information.
