  • Service and Callout Engineer
  • Your Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and routine replacement of components in accordance with approved company procedures.
  • Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment during breakdowns and verify correct functioning.
  • Conduct checks for speed, motor start/stop, noise, temperature and power supply using approved tools and protective equipment.
  • Perform routine inspection and adjustment of escalator installations following approved procedures, reinstating lift and completing service documentation.
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
  • Make effective use of written or graphical information, demonstrating competence.

What You Bring

  • Experience in lift servicing, maintenance or repairs preferred.
  • Must be willing to do night calls.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in lift maintenance or equivalent.
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical knowledge, including multi-brand equipment.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and operate within efficiencies.
  • Ability to work independently with a flexible approach.
  • Good communication skills at different levels (client, service leader, inspector).
  • Manual dexterity – requires use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting and operation of hand and power tools and record-keeping.
  • Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
