Ru Belfast’s newest restaurant, Ru, is looking for an experienced and motivated Supervisor to join our opening team. Born from two rich food cultures, Ru blends bold Indian flavours with exceptional Irish produce. Our menu is a modern interpretation of Indian cooking — vibrant, seasonal, and designed for sharing. The role: As Restaurant Supervisor, you will support the management team in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service, leading the front-of-house team, and maintaining high standards across all areas. The rate of pay for this role is £14.30 per hour plus discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to £500.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead shifts on the floor, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times
  • Support, train and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver excellent service
  • Act as a point of contact for guest queries and resolve issues professionally and confidently
  • Assist with staff rotas, briefings and daily service preparation
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service throughout the restaurant
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless co-ordination
  • Support management with stock control, opening and closing procedures

About you:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior front-of-house role
  • A confident and approachable leader who leads by example
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage a busy service
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
