Belfast’s newest restaurant, Ru, is looking for talented and passionate chefs of all levels to join our opening kitchen team. Born from two rich food cultures, Ru blends bold Indian flavours with exceptional Irish produce. Our menu is a modern interpretation of Indian cooking — vibrant, seasonal, and designed for sharing. Located on Ann Street and open for lunch and dinner, Ru will be the first to open amongst a number of adjoining venues, including a pub, cocktail bar and terrace, vinyl listening bar and club space in 2026. This is a chance to be part of something new from the ground up, working with high-quality ingredients and contributing to a creative, ambitious kitchen. The Role
We are recruiting across a range of kitchen positions, from Commis Chef through to Senior Chef de Partie. Successful candidates will play an important role in delivering exceptional food, maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene, and contributing to a positive and collaborative kitchen culture. Responsibilities will vary depending on experience and position level.

What you'll do
Depending on your role and level of experience, you will:
- Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard
- Support the delivery of smooth and efficient kitchen service
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and HACCP practices
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all kitchen sections
- Assist with stock management, ordering and waste control
- Help foster a positive, professional and high-performing kitchen environment
