Collins Aerospace is looking for a Skilled Vacuum Braze/Furnace Operator to join our Operations Department within our HS Marston facility in Wolverhampton. If you are interested, we would love to hear from you!
What You Will Do
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of 12 vacuum furnaces for both steel and aluminium brazing.
- A good knowledge of vacuum furnace brazing control systems and heat exchanger production would be an advantage; however, training will be given.
- The candidate will be required to work on their own initiative conducting regular TPM checks, leak up checks, and SAT check procedures.
- Inspection of post/pre-braze matrix heat exchangers and components.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as ACE activities (5S, TPM, Turnbacks, and Clinics).
- Maintain traceability of materials and adhere to quality control standards.
- Ensure the workspace remains clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
- Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements.
Shifts
This role requires flexibility to work in rotating shifts:
- Morning: 6:00 AM – 1:45 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Friday).
- Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 12:15 PM – 5:15 PM (Friday).
- Nights: 8:30 PM – 6:15 AM (Monday–Thursday).

Qualifications We Prefer
- Qualifications will include a CITY and Guilds or NVQ level 2 in an engineering discipline.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel applications.
- Experience in a similar or related discipline is an advantage.
- Existing knowledge of NADCAP Guidelines is an advantage.
