What You Will Do
- Day to day running of 5 axis machine centre (Doosan, Mazak & Matsuura)
- The machining of complex aluminium and stainless fabrications
- Aid the setting up and proving out of programs with Engineers
- Support and manage the machine tooling to best achieve drawing tolerances
- Carry out dimensional checks using the designated tools as defined by each program and Op sheet
- Set up and run programs in accordance with the Op sheets and Program specifications
- Escalate any issues, errors or concerns immediately to the Line Manager
- Any other duties as required by your line manager
- Support CORE and keep up excellent housekeeping practices
Shifts:
This role requires flexibility to work in rotating shifts:
- Morning: 6:00 AM–1:45 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 6:00 AM–12:00 PM (Friday).
- Afternoon: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 12:15 PM–5:15 PM (Friday).
- There may be a possibility of moving to night shifts. Ample notice will be provided if required.

Experience We Prefer:
- Recognized engineering apprenticeship e.g. City & Guilds/ BTEC Level 3 or equivalent
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- Good level of IT skills
Skills & Certifications:
- Setting & operating Various machine centre’s
- Vertical 5 axis machine centres – Doosan, Matsuura & Mazak would be ideal
- Mazak Intergrex (Tilting ‘B’ Axis) experience
- Aerospace or Oil & Gas background favourable
- Self-Inspection
- Various measuring/ inspection techniques
- PC Dmis knowledge advantageous – CMM operating
- Knowledge of machining Aluminium & Stainless fabrications
- Understanding of adaptive machining – Renishaw probing essential
