To support our existing business and drive future growth, we have 3 opportunities for Apprentice Welder/Fabricators within our Power and Control division at the HS Marston facility in the West Midlands.
What you will do:
- Play a hands-on role in building, maintaining, and supporting the production of high precision aircraft components and systems.
- Operate and maintain workshop tools, machinery, and equipment under supervision.
- Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of aircraft components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Support routine inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities.
- Follow strict safety, regulatory, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and senior craft professionals.
- Participate in classroom based and on the job training modules.
What you will learn:
This comprehensive Apprenticeship, delivered in partnership with InComm, is ideally suited to you if you are motivated, diligent, and excited by a career in Aerospace Manufacturing/Engineering. Alongside gaining hands-on experience you will work towards a Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship helping to shape a strong foundation for your future career.
Qualifications we prefer:
You need to be a willing learner and committed to achieving both business and personal results whilst working as part of a team. With a natural curiosity for how things work and hands-on tasks, you will be a strong communicator and problem-solver, with good attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions. You will have obtained a minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above including Mathematics and English and a STEM subject.
