We are looking to recruit a HR Supervisor to join our People Services team.
Position Overview:
As part of the Enterprise Services business, People Services operates as a HR Shared Service, providing first line HR advice and guidance to employees and managers. Our UK and Ireland team support all sites across the UK business, as well as locations in the Middle East. The team is split into 3 tiers – Tier 0 being our online, self-service portal; Tier 1 handling queries, providing advice and guidance, and general HR administration; and Tier 2 providing more services for the most complex cases. This role is situated in Tier 1, reporting to the Manager, HR Operations. The role is highly customer focused, fast paced, varied and relies on effective collaboration with others.
What you will do:
- Provide first line leadership and real-time coaching to a small team of Associate HR Advisors.
- Advise, coach and guide Managers and Employees to effectively navigate HR processes, from simple to complex, handling a small case load.
- Utilise tacit line HR knowledge and experience of business processes and policies to effectively guide customers through complex situations and up skill the wider team.
- Effectively handle and resolve a wide range of HR queries received through a variety of channels including telephone, email, and online portal ensuring that a high level of customer service is delivered throughout.
- Utilise established HR processes, knowledge, policies, company guidelines and regulations to resolve customer cases.
- Partner with BU HR teams to identify, recommend and create knowledge articles to constantly update our People Services knowledge base.
- Understand and be compliant with the corporate data protection and confidentiality policies.
- Be an active and supportive member of the team, sharing experiences and ideas with colleagues to continually improve our services.
- Actively engage with continuous improvement tools to identify and support process improvement activities, including supporting optimisation efforts with third party vendors.
- Act as an advocate for People Services within the business and encourage adoption of the HR Operating Model.
- Carry out any other reasonable request in line with your day-to-day duties.
- Conduct regular 121’s, using performance data to identify improvements and develop Advisor capability.
- Act as a first escalation point for issue resolution in your value stream.
- Work to consistently meet KPIs.
Qualifications and Experience You Must Have:
- Experience working in a HR role and/or within a Shared Services environment.
- Hold a relevant HR/payroll qualification or Degree (min Level 5), and/or prior relevant HR experience.
- Experience in advising and guiding Managers across all aspects of HR policies including the interpretation of these policies.
- Good understanding of current HR policy and process and previous experience of providing advice and guidance on complex issues including first stage Employee Relations situations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task and proactively prioritise work to meet competing demands.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) across all levels of the organisation.
- Logical thinker who can solve problems quickly.
- Highly-customer orientated with great customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a high-pace and deadline-driven organisation.
- Team player who can support, coach and encourage others.
- Experience of Workday or ServiceNow desirable but not essential.
- Strong IT skills and aptitude for using HRIT tools.
