We’re looking for an Operator Machining to join our team and play a key role in the production of high-quality aircraft interior components. If you have a strong background in CNC machining, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for continuous improvement, we want you to be part of our innovative and growing company.
As an Operator in this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the operation of CNC machinery within our Hi-Tech machine shop producing low batch high mix production runs of component parts for the Aircraft interiors business. If you have an eye for detail and CNC experience, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate CNC machinery to produce production runs of parts in accordance with a daily production plan.
- Some self-Inspection of repeat work using the appropriate inspection equipment (training to be given).
- Perform regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on the machinery (training to be given).
- Advise Team Lead and production engineering team of production issues and defects.
- Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase production.
- Monitor and document operational performance and provide feedback to the Team Lead.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and support teams.
- Maintain quality standard through the understanding of the quality management system.
- Adherence to all company EH&S and compliance guidelines.
- Adhere to housekeeping, 5s and FOD rules ensuring a best in class organized working environment is always maintained.
- Previous machining background preferred.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office software.
- Experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Experience in completing projects for process improvement.
- Metallurgy Knowledge: A solid understanding of materials and their properties.
- CNC operating experience.
- Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Microsoft Office: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to document and report on performance.
- Process Improvement: Experience in leading or supporting process improvement projects.
