Our Airports Systems Production team in Crawley supports mission-critical customer environments and infrastructure that help enable reliable airport operations and passenger experiences worldwide.

We are looking for a System Production Engineer to join our global support organisation supporting complex production systems, deployments and operational environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative global team supporting large-scale airport technologies across international customer environments.

What You Will Do

  • Build and configure server systems from the ground up
  • Support implementation, QA and rollout activities across customer environments
  • Troubleshoot complex production and infrastructure-related issues
  • Support Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
  • Support backup, antivirus, data replication and security technologies
  • Participate in beta testing and validation activities for new or modified code
  • Support global deployment teams, site administrators and second-level support teams
  • Develop technical documentation including installation guides, whitepapers and diagrams
  • Work within ITIL and ISO operational processes and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Participate in scheduled and rotational third-level out-of-hours support
  • Support patch management and security best practices across production systems

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments
  • Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience with scripting tools including PowerShell, SQL, Win32 or Ansible
  • Experience supporting production or operational IT systems
  • Knowledge of databases including SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo, Elasticsearch or Redis
  • Experience supporting backup, antivirus, patching or data replication technologies
  • Ability to work independently and conduct technical research where required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Airport or aviation IT systems experience
  • Experience with imaging software
  • ITIL or ISO process experience
