Location: Southeast London (Hybrid working) – sites in Harlow & Near Reading.

Travel: Circa 2‑3 days a week for customer visits, international travel once every 8 weeks.

Clearance required: SC/DV Eligible.

About the role

This role delivers profitable growth as part of the Services Leadership Team. You will make growth real across the Space, ISR, Training, Transformation, Cyber, and Intelligence mission areas, lead strategy development, and build a pipeline of potential opportunities. You will select the right opportunities, craft winning strategies, and secure the business.

What you’ll do

  • You will lead a cross‑functional team spanning Space, Cyber, and Training mission areas.
  • Using the RLPM (CRM) methodology, you will identify, develop, bid, and win new business while growing existing contract business.
  • The outcome is clarity, alignment, and purpose across the services area for sustained profitable growth.
  • Mentor and line‑manage all Requirements and Capabilities team members in the Services area; lead the cross‑functional new‑business team including PM, solution design, finance, and commercial colleagues.
  • Run a weekly decision‑making session with pipeline owners from across services, focusing on actionable outcomes.
  • Personally lead the most significant bids.
  • Establish and sustain excellent stakeholder engagement plans across the services business.
  • Partner with finance on LRP, NBI, and M&S to set realistic metrics and manage risks, ensuring the AOP is delivered.

How you’ll work

You will keep the rhythm tight and transparent. Decisions happen in the room with the right people. You’ll favour co‑design over stovepipes, make single‑step decisions wherever possible, and escalate early when progress is blocked. You will accelerate existing processes, reduce unnecessary bureaucracy, and simplify wherever sensible, all to build a real pipeline and convert it into profitable new business.

  • Services functional leadership – opportunity evaluation and bid support
  • RUK Associate Director Strategy – strategy development and alignment

  • Business winning – pipeline opportunities converting into wins; high‑quality bids submitted
