Raytheon UK have a full-time on-site permanent opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our team in Gloucester. We are looking for a talented engineer to be part of the IT support team delivering support to engineers and the wider business, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and business-critical systems. Your primary role would be to maintain a reliable IT environment and act as a bridge between project and business units via the JIRA Service Desk. This area of the business provides ISO27001:2022 aligned IT support at scale, collaborating with engineers to create, maintain, and deliver secure mission-critical systems. Due to the sector this team is working in, we require all candidates to be willing to attain an eDV clearance.

Location: Onsite, Gloucester, GB-SGC-GLOUCESTER-18B 18B Barrwood Fields Ley Court BARNWOOD. SC eligible for DV.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, patching, and updates of the IT estate.
  • Conduct regular audits, reports, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support to end users across thin clients, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts, onboard/offboard, manage permissions, and access to internal and external systems.
  • Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with your IT projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and asset inventory.
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes including device setup and recovery.
  • Support meeting rooms, AV equipment, printers, and telephony systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues onsite.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of maintaining the laptop estate via endpoint management software.
  • Knowledge of networking including security and IT governance frameworks.
  • Working experience with IT project delivery.
  • Administration of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
  • PowerShell script writing and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS.
  • Prior experience with working independently onsite with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills and Experience:

  • CompTIA Network, ITIL 4, ISO27001 or similar certification.
