We’re looking for a Senior Technician (Machining) to join our team and play a key role in the production of high-quality aircraft interior components. If you have a strong background in CNC machining, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for continuous improvement, we want you to be part of our innovative and growing company. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for machine set-ups, CNC programming, and producing components with precision, while ensuring that every part meets the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities: Machine Set-Ups & Operations: Efficiently perform machine set-ups for CNC Milling and/or Turning machines to produce production parts according to daily plans. CNC Programming: Write, test, and prove out basic G&M code CNC programs for new and existing components. Self-Inspection: Ensure parts meet quality standards by conducting thorough self-inspections using appropriate equipment. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Regularly maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Issue Resolution: Advise Team Lead and production engineering team on production issues or defects. Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency. Operational Monitoring: Track and document operational performance, providing feedback for improvements. Quality Management: Maintain high-quality standards by adhering to the company’s quality management system. Health, Safety & Compliance: Follow all EH&S, compliance, and housekeeping guidelines, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Required Skills & Experience: CNC Expertise: Strong background in operating various CNC Milling and/or Turning machinery with a good understanding of Fanuc control systems. Precision and Quality Focus: Expertise in machine tooling, inspection, and a keen eye for producing components to exacting standards. Engineering Drawings: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and data. Attention to Detail: High standards for precision and accuracy in machining and quality control. EH&S Awareness: Understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements in a manufacturing setting. Preferred Skills & Experience: Metallurgy Knowledge: A solid understanding of materials and their properties. Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
