Overview
To develop training courseware through the analysis, design, maintenance, review and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for military training. This role involves leading or being part of a team responsible for the analysis, design, maintenance, review and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for military training sites and organisations.
Responsibilities
- Produce, maintain and/or update Training Design from formal documentation (FTS) including the Training Performance Statement (TPS), Training Objectives (TOs), Workplace Training Statement (WTS) and Residual Training Gap Statement (RTGS) to the delivery of Assessment Strategy (AStrat) and Assessment Specification (ASpec), Learning Specification (LSpec), Training Authorisation Document (TrAD) in DSAT compliant course templates.
- Interview subject matter experts to collate required data.
- Participate in internal workshops to discuss and agree findings from analysis.
- Uphold, update and revalidate course syllabi and standards, trainer competence, qualification and experience requirements.
- Maintain course information including course size limits, health and safety, relevant rules and regulations, course length and required support and resources.
- Conduct and maintain Training Design in response to new training requirements, including those arising from New Capabilities, to ensure training satisfies operational/workplace performance requirements and aligns with Authority output requirements.
- Update Training Design materials incorporating relevant recommendations and feedback from internal and external assurance to keep training up-to-date and fit for purpose.
- Identify opportunities to provide accreditation for new or amended training as designed, and assess implications for existing accreditations following Training Design changes.
- Be responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
- Perform any other duties required to complete the CMDC Training Service.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and within the customer organisation.
- Experience in course design with contribution to the design of significant training courses.
- Good working knowledge of training design and development processes for training media.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
- Experience with Articulate 360/Storyline.
Desirable
- Experience in organisational design and development.
- Experience in the development of apprenticeship qualifications.
- Degree-level education in a relevant area.
- Teaching and training development qualification at degree level.
- Human Resource Development qualification and experience.
- Membership of an appropriate professional body such as CIPD.
