As a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer, you will apply your expertise in mixed-signal electronic design and system-level integration to support the development of complex, high-performance products.
You will
- Design, develop and test analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics across the full product lifecycle for new and legacy products and test equipment.
- Support hardware integration testing, troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Use E-CAD tools for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit/PCB simulation.
- Work closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
- A minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- A strong theoretical understanding of analogue electronics.
- Experience integrating sensitive analogue circuitry with high-speed digital devices such as FPGAs, DSPs and microprocessors.
- Experience designing precision circuitry, including op-amps, DACs, ADCs and voltage references.
- An understanding of control theory and open and closed-loop systems.
- Experience using E-CAD systems for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit/PCB simulation.

- Xpedition, Hyper Lynx, LTSpice/AMS or similar tools.
- VHDL/Verilog architectural design, coding and simulation, particularly with Xilinx or Microchip technologies, including So C.

Collins Aerospace was selected as a UK supplier with a demonstrated capability to develop and manufacture navigation-grade Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) for use in future complex weapons systems as part of the UK's Weapons Sector Research Framework (WSRF).
Our IMUs combine proprietary MEMS sensors, ASICs, FPGAs, embedded software and unique architectures, housed within bespoke mechanical fixtures designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions.
