Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Newtownabbey HQ

Salary: £10.90-13 per hour depending on experience with overtime and bonuses

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm Approx. Every other Saturday.

Key Responsibilities Of The Yard Person Role

  • Check the filled tubs for contents/quantities and organise for dispatch.
  • Makeup tub orders for dispatch and clean returned tubs for refilling.
  • Loading of flat lorries and customer vehicles.
  • Operating a forklift, loading shovel and shunt lorries.
  • Off-loading deliveries.
  • Sweeping the yard manually and mechanically.
  • Ensuring spillages are cleaned up and recycled safely where appropriate.
  • Removing recycled material to bins and storage areas.
  • Washing of filter press at the end of each production day.
  • Carrying out a daily tub count and cleaning of used tubs on a daily basis.
  • Check consumable stocks and report low levels.
  • Carrying out periodic maintenance checks on plant and equipment.
  • Respond to audible plant alarms.
  • Ensure the site is operated to comply with Health and Safety and Environmental legislation.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Ability to organise own tasks and duties.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.

Desirable

  • 2 years experience working within the construction industry.
  • Hold a full driving license.
  • Forklift license and Site Handler, with experience driving machinery, i.e. loading shovel, digger.
