RTS Infrastructure (Part of Arriva Group) is looking for an experienced and commercially focused Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering projects across a dynamic rail and infrastructure environment, where you’ll have real influence over commercial performance, project outcomes, and business success.

What you’ll be doing: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take the lead on the commercial management of projects, ensuring they’re delivered efficiently, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements. You’ll:
- Lead the commercial management of projects from start to finish
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost value reconciliations
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
- Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Procure and manage subcontractor packages, including negotiation and payments
- Oversee variations, change control processes, and dispute resolution
- Monitor cash flow and support financial performance
- Provide commercial input into project planning and delivery
- Support bids and tender processes, including pricing and reviews
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Mentor and support junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff
- Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes
We’re keen to hear from detail-oriented professionals with strong commercial awareness and a collaborative approach. You’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction, infrastructure, or rail
- Strong understanding of contract management and commercial processes
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Good IT skills and experience with commercial/costing systems
Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) – essential.
