About the Role
We are working with a number of secondary schools across Liverpool who are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to provide classroom cover in the absence of teaching staff. This role is ideal for:
- Graduates considering a career in teaching
- Experienced Cover Supervisors
- Individuals with strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
You will be responsible for supervising whole classes, delivering pre-set work, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged
- Reporting back to teaching staff at the end of the day
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred)
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Confidence managing a classroom independently
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
