About RTN Mental Health

At RTN Mental Health, we’re on a mission to transform the way neurodevelopmental and primary care mental health services are delivered across the UK. As a dynamic and rapidly expanding organisation, we combine clinical excellence with commercial innovation to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. From NHS partnerships to private services, we’re redefining what accessible, ethical and effective mental health support can look like, and building clinical pathways that are robust, evidence-based and genuinely life-changing. Our values sit at the heart of everything we do: Respect at our core, transformation in our actions, nurture in our care.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to support the development of a secure, reliable and well-governed digital environment across RTN Mental Health. This is a hands-on technical role within a growing, values-driven organisation. Working closely with the Director of Digital and Technology, you will play a key role in the day-to-day administration, configuration and optimisation of core business and clinical systems, helping ensure our platforms are secure, compliant and fit for purpose.

You will be responsible for user provisioning, permissions management and role-based access controls across multiple systems, helping embed least privilege principles and strengthen governance across the organisation. You will also support system setup, integrations, troubleshooting and documentation, contributing to the move away from disconnected, manually managed processes towards a more structured and efficient digital environment.

We welcome applications from technically capable and detail-oriented professionals who are confident balancing security, usability and operational need. You will be comfortable working independently in a remote environment, while collaborating effectively with colleagues, suppliers and external IT partners. Above all, you will help ensure our systems are safe, well-managed and supportive of high-quality care, strong operational delivery and sustainable organisational growth.

Role Responsibilities

  • System Administration & Platform Support
    • Take ownership of the day-to-day administration, maintenance and optimisation of core business and clinical systems
    • Ensure systems remain reliable, secure and configured to meet organisational needs
    • Support the setup and ongoing administration of users, groups, permissions and workflows
    • Apply consistent administrative standards across new and existing platforms
  • User Access & Least Privilege Management
    • Manage user accounts, permissions and role-based access controls across multiple systems
    • Apply least privilege principles to reduce risk and maintain appropriate levels of access
    • Regularly review and update access rights to ensure they remain accurate and appropriate
    • Support secure and well-controlled access across clinical, operational and business platforms
  • Joiners, Movers and Leavers
    • Administer onboarding, role changes and offboarding across relevant systems in a timely and controlled way
    • Ensure access rights are granted, amended and removed accurately
    • Maintain clear records of access changes and administrative actions
    • Help ensure access is always appropriate to role and business need
  • Security, Compliance & Data Governance
    • Maintain effective system controls, configuration standards and access records to support audit readiness
    • Contribute to cyber security, governance and compliance activity across the organisation
    • Support secure handling of sensitive information and good data governance practice
    • Help strengthen control, consistency and accountability in the way organisational data is managed
  • System Configuration, Integration & Improvement
    • Support the secure setup and configuration of systems, including roles, permissions and workflows
    • Assist with system integrations, migrations and digital improvement initiatives
    • Help streamline processes across clinical, operational and business functions
    • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, automation and user experience
  • Troubleshooting, Documentation & Collaboration
    • Investigate and resolve systems-related issues, providing effective support to users and stakeholders
    • Coordinate with software vendors, managed service providers and third-party suppliers where needed
    • Produce and maintain clear documentation, including SOPs, access models and system guidance
    • Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues and support adoption of good practice
