In this role, you'll be central to delivering high-quality psychiatric care across the ADHD pathway — from assessment and diagnosis to treatment and post-diagnostic support. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure clients receive safe, effective, and person-centred care, with the flexibility to shape your caseload around your specialist strengths and interests. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a values-led service with a strong clinical culture and a commitment to innovation and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • ADHD Assessment & Diagnosis
    • Review pre-assessment information and collateral from psychologists and NDPs.
    • Conduct structured psychiatric assessments (e.g. DIVA, ACE) to confirm ADHD diagnoses.
    • Participate in MDT discussions to finalise conclusions and manage complex or nuanced cases.
    • Deliver clear, compassionate feedback to clients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
  • Medication Management & Ongoing Care
    • Initiate and manage ADHD medication in line with NICE and GMC guidance.
    • Offer follow-up consultations for titration, treatment review, and side-effect monitoring.
    • Collaborate with ADHD prescribers and other clinicians to ensure cohesive, high-quality care.
    • Document clinical rationale and decisions clearly within formulation summaries and treatment plans.
  • Post-Diagnostic Support
    • Provide ongoing psychiatric input for clients requiring extended support or with comorbidities.
    • Contribute to integrated care planning and liaise with GPs and external professionals to ensure continuity.
  • MDT Engagement & Collaboration
    • Attend monthly MDT meetings to contribute psychiatric input to case discussions.
    • Supervise and collaborate with psychologists, nurses, NDPs, and operational teams.
    • Engage in internal CPD sessions and reflective practice discussions.
  • Documentation & Governance
    • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records in line with GMC, CQC, and RTN standards.
    • Uphold ethical and clinical standards and contribute to audits, evaluations, and service improvement initiatives.
