Associate Clinical Psychologist – Autism (ASD) Assessments Location: Remote Salary: £80 – £100 per hour Hours: Sessional, flexible around your availability About the Role RTN Mental Health Solutions is a leading provider of ADHD and autism diagnostic services. After a year of strong growth, we are expanding our clinical network. We are looking for experienced Clinical Psychologists to support autism assessments for children and/or adults as part of our multidisciplinary ASD assessment pathway. You will complete agreed elements of each assessment, review and interpret clinical information, and contribute your expertise to team discussions and diagnostic decisions. Depending on your experience and training, this includes clinical interviews, developmental history taking, structured observations, ADOS-2 assessments, report writing and feedback sessions. What You'll Be Doing Completing agreed components of autism assessments for children and/or adults Gathering, reviewing and interpreting clinical information, completing structured assessments and writing clear, accurate reports Sharing your findings, formulation and recommendations in MDT discussions and diagnostic decision-making Supporting clear, sensitive and neuroaffirming feedback to individuals and families Delivering every assessment with empathy and respect for the person's needs, presentation and lived experience Keeping accurate records and following clinical, safeguarding and information governance standards Working within your scope of practice and maintaining your registration, training and competence What You'll Bring A recognised qualification in Clinical Psychology Current HCPC registration Formal ADOS-2 training, with experience administering, scoring and reporting on ADOS-2 assessments Experience working with children and/or adults in autism assessment pathways Experience contributing to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions and decision-making Strong clinical assessment, formulation and professional judgement Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail A person-centred, respectful and neuroaffirming approach Appropriate professional indemnity insurance The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider clinical team What's on Offer Competitive hourly rate of £80 – £100, including report writing and feedback (child ADOS-2 assessments take about 2.5 hours and adult ASD assessments about 3 hours) Sessional work that fits around your availability Remote, independent working A meaningful role supporting access to timely autism assessments A supportive multidisciplinary assessment pathway An inclusive organisation where individuality and neurodiversity are celebrated The chance to work alongside a growing, values-led clinical and operational team Additional Information Our values of Respect, Transformation and Nurture guide everything we do.
