RTN Diagnostics is on a mission to transform neurodevelopmental assessments with clinical excellence at the heart of everything we do. We launched the RTN Academy – a comprehensive 12-month training programme for Trainee Neurodevelopmental Practitioners, and we are now seeking an Autism and ADHD Assessment Trainer to lead, inspire, and support the development of our next generation of clinicians.

About the Role

The Autism and ADHD Assessment Trainer will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of neurodevelopmental assessments at RTN. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting our Trainee Neurodevelopmental Practitioners as they develop the skills needed to deliver high-quality ADHD and autism diagnostic assessments. This role is ideal for a dynamic clinician with a passion for training, mentoring, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance, wellbeing, and development of Trainee Neurodevelopmental Practitioners throughout their training journey.
  • Support high-quality assessments using tools such as the ADI-R and ADOS.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions and workshops, including on report writing and clinical best practice.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify training needs and contribute to the development of new training materials and approaches.
  • Help evolve and improve the RTN Academy programme over time.
  • Ensure safeguarding and best practice guidelines are embedded throughout.

About You

  • Trained in ADI-R and ADOS, with hands-on experience delivering diagnostic assessments.
  • Background in psychology, neuroscience, or a related clinical or healthcare field.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, or supervising others—ideally within a clinical or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and feedback skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused.
  • A team player with a commitment to person-centred care and clinical quality.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Psychology, Neuroscience, Mental Health, or related discipline).
