We are seeking an experienced and proactive MEP Project Manager to lead the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services on a residential construction project. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination, installation, commissioning, and handover of all MEP systems, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage all MEP aspects of the residential project from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and public health subcontractors and consultants.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions, and procurement schedules.
- Ensure MEP installations comply with design, programme, quality, and statutory requirements.
- Lead MEP coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and the main contractor team.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve technical and delivery issues.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover processes.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures.
- Manage project reporting, budgets, change control, and risk management related to MEP works.
- Support the wider construction team to achieve programme milestones and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an MEP Project Manager on residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health building services.
- Experience managing subcontractors, coordination, commissioning, and project delivery.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
- Relevant construction or engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred.
