- Supervise and coordinate groundwork teams on site.
- Manage day-to-day site activities and allocate labour effectively.
- Oversee excavation, drainage, foundations, concrete, kerbing, ducting and associated groundworks.
- Read and work from drawings, specifications and site plans.
- Coordinate plant, materials and subcontractors.
- Ensure works are completed on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers and other site personnel.
- Carry out regular quality and safety checks.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with RAMS and site procedures.
- Maintain a safe, tidy and productive working environment.
- Complete daily records and report progress, issues and requirements to site management.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering, with proven experience supervising a team and delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard., Previous experience as a Groundworks Foreman / Working Foreman. - Strong knowledge of groundworks and civil engineering operations.
- Experience supervising and leading a site team.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Relevant CPCS/NPORS or other plant tickets would be advantageous.
- CSCS qualification required.
- SSSTS/SMSTS would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
