We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading main contractor on a major London development. This role requires a well-rounded Project Manager with proven experience delivering projects from RC Frame through to external facade packages and internal fit out works. The successful candidate will be confident managing programme, subcontractors and site logistics whilst driving the project through key construction phases to completion.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. The project presents a number of logistical challenges, making strong planning, organisation and communication skills essential. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position on a flagship project, with work secured through to mid-2027 and further opportunities available beyond this scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the successful delivery of RC Frame, facade and fit out packages
- Developing, monitoring and driving the construction programme
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely and to programme
- Coordinating site logistics in a busy and constrained environment
- Monitoring progress and implementing solutions to maintain key milestones
- Liaising with clients, consultants and senior management teams
- Driving quality, health & safety and operational performance across the project
- Ensuring a smooth transition between structural, envelope and internal construction phases
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor
- Strong background delivering RC Frame projects
- Experience managing external facade packages
- Experience overseeing internal fit out works through to completion
- Excellent programme management and scheduling skills
- Strong subcontractor management experience
- Ability to operate effectively in logistically challenging environments
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid preferred
