Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical services scope across all project phases: design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and supervisors.
- Oversee all mechanical installations (HVAC, plant, public health, and associated systems), ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets, and resource forecasts.
- Provide leadership in progress meetings, design reviews, and construction planning discussions.
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with company quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Proactively manage risk, change, and commercial performance to maintain profitability.
- Support commissioning, testing, and client handover activities to ensure a seamless transition.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project delivery team.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and site teams, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing large-scale mechanical packages on Tier 1 or major Tier 2 projects.
- Proven background in delivering complex mechanical systems on commercial, healthcare, or mixed-use developments.
- Strong technical understanding of pipefitting, plant, and building services systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, commissioning, and current industry regulations.
