We are currently recruiting for an experienced No.2 Site Manager to join a major construction project in Maidenhead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong Site Manager with a background in RC Frame construction and significant experience across facades and external works. The successful candidate will work closely alongside the Senior Site Manager and wider project team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the works on site. You will need to be confident managing subcontractors, coordinating multiple trades and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and in line with the required quality standards. The project has a strong focus on RC Frame and external envelope works, so previous experience in these areas is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Senior Site Manager with the overall management of the project
- Managing day-to-day site activities and coordinating subcontractors
- Overseeing RC Frame works and ensuring works are completed in line with programme
- Managing and coordinating facade and external envelope packages
- Overseeing brickwork, cladding, windows and associated external works
- Monitoring subcontractor performance and ensuring works are completed to the required standard
- Coordinating trades and ensuring activities are properly sequenced
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction information
- Carrying out regular site inspections and monitoring progress
- Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with the programme
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the site
- Ensuring quality control procedures are followed and relevant records maintained
- Attending site meetings and liaising with the project management team, consultants and subcontractors
- Identifying potential issues and assisting with solutions before they impact programme or quality
- Monitoring progress and reporting back to the Senior Site Manager
- Ensuring site documentation, RAMS and permits are followed correctly
- Managing snagging and ensuring works are completed to the required standard
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience working as a No.2 Site Manager, Senior Site Manager or similar
- Strong experience delivering RC Frame projects
- Proven experience managing facade and external envelope works
- Good knowledge of brickwork, cladding and window packages
- Strong subcontractor management experience
- Excellent understanding of construction programmes and sequencing
- Good knowledge of health & safety and quality procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple packages simultaneously
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Relevant CSCS qualification
- SMSTS
- First Aid
