We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on a substation project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project, overseeing mechanical installation works and ensuring delivery to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all mechanical works on site, including installation, testing, and commissioning
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Manage subcontractors and site teams, ensuring productivity and quality targets are met
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain accurate site records and reports
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on substation or similar infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and installation practices within energy or utilities sectors
- SSSTS/SMSTS certification (preferred)
- CSCS card (required)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
